Stephen Huggins

Stephen is the host of the Kalypso Kollege one of the longest running Calypso Shows known to man. ​​​​

He has two passions:  Soccer and (yep…you guessed it) Calypso.

He is an avid Barcelona FC and Arsenal FC fan.  The rest of the world quickly fades into the background once his teams are playing.

His love of calypso dates back to his youth – the days when the only way to collect music was to record on a cassette from the radio and hope that the announcer didn’t talk while you were recording. 

He has since amassed an enviable collection of not only calypso, but various genres of music.

He  founded and started hosting the Kalypso Kollege radio programme in 1999.  The show features  calypso from as far back as the first known recording in 1912  up to the present day, He is also the host of Reggae Calling.

Of course, man cannot live on music alone.  Stephen is the senior partner at the law firm of Saunders and Huggins.

Cleo Huggins

Cleo’s experience in broadcasting spans more than 25 years, dating back to 1988 when she joined the staff of NBC Radio 705 as an announcer.  She has also worked as a television news anchor and a television  presenter for various programmes as well as MC and host for numerous events.

Cleo is a Marketing Consultant.

DJ Crush

Hansel “DJ Crush” Henry loves all kinds of music.  As he says, he just loves music.  He realized early in his life that he had an ear for good music.  “Once it beats within, it’s easy to play from heart”. 

​Although he loves soca music, he’s inspired by any genre of music. “Music is Music. I like all kinda music” he says.  He grew up on the music of Beenie Man, Sizzla, Becket, Winston Soso, Touch and New Direction, but as you can see from his shows – the man knows his music!​

He describes the highlight of his DJ career as the night when he shared the stage with 2Kool Kris at a wet fete in Canouan, and during the fete 2Kool Kris publicly acknowledged his talent and style. He was formerly the house Dee Jay at Club Eclipse, and has been known to play for almost twelve hours at a time!

When he’s not playing music, he’s an Operator at Vinlec Canouan. His community spiritedness is very evident through his previous and current commitments.  He’s the President of Club Nuevo, (the organisers of the Canouan Carnival).

DJ Blacker

DJ Blacker is a former DJ with WE FM 99.9. He’s known for his down to earth style and focus on old school music, and his more music less talk philosophy.

DJ S3LK

DJ S3LK is a born Vincentian now living in Canada. He has always loved music and, as he disclosed during the Sweet Radio SVG 3rd anniversary celebrations, he credits his entry into and enthusiasm for Dee Jaying to our very own DJ Cast One. It’s only natural therefore that when he decided to share his music with the world, he chose to do it with Sweet Radio SVG!!
